Sunset at Badwater Basin in Death Valley National Park this evening was amazing! Drove from Las Vegas this afternoon with my buddies +James Brandon and +Mike Mezeul in time to catch this scene. Incredibly hot, even after sunset. It was 113˚ when I captured this. A dust storm (haboob) was moving towards us as well. What a night!
I was floored to look up and see a bright anti-crepcusular ray pointing at the moon after sunset. It even looked like a giant comet in the sky. I have photographed many sunsets in the last few years. This one was definitely one of my favorites!
