Tornado on the ground 8 miles east of Elk Mountian, Wyoming on 6-15-15
During my storm chasing expedition with Ben Von Wong and friends last June, we had a very good and busy chase day on June 15, 2015. We were trying to get aerial footage of a supercell moving our direction from Elk Mountian, Wyoming. The storm produced a brief tornado. When I originally looked at it, I did not like the image all that much so I didn’t mark it as a select and forgot all about it honestly, we had a great day for photography. Recently, I was backing up images from 2015 and came across this image again. I liked it after spending some time it. Would love to know what you think!

I love Zion. It is one of my favorite places in the world. Every year it seems I come back to this famous overlook in Zion National Park to get a shot of the Watchman of Zion at sunset. I don’t do many landscape shots, but it is always fun to do them at iconic places like this (more…)
Spent an amazing week in Utah and Arizona with the family. Of course there were long drives and hikes to National Parks and monuments. Here is one of my favorites of the trip. Horseshoe Bend outside of Page, Arizona (Google Map Link to Horseshoe Bend). This is a 20 image multi-row panorama using my amazing Really Right Stuff PG-02 FG Pano Gimball head. It stitched seamlessly in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom CC new Pano merge feature. (more…)
This tornado warned supercell was one of the best, especially one of the most beautiful storms I have seen in in my years of chasing storms. I intercepted just North of Hico, TX (N. Central Texas). It had produced a tornado just minutes to my arrival. The mesocyclone was rotating very rapidly, I know this storm had produced a tornado minutes before I arrived. There was a strong couplet, so I would not be surprised if there was a tornado wrapped up in the rain. Thanks for stopping by and looking, I will have more in the coming days. We had an amazing view outside of Atwood, Kansas of a approaching supercell. I had to capture 18 images from my left to right to get this 180Ëš view! This makes all the time on the road worth it! #stormchasing  #clouds365  #kansas  #panoramic Â

We left Ogallala, NE this morning and headed for NW Kansas. This was the leading edge of a very ominous severe warned storm just outside of Herndon, Kansas. I love the shelf feature and the contrast between sides. Another favorite!
Left Strausburg, Colorado this morning and headed to NW Nebraska to chase storms. Traveling on HWY 29 North of Scottsbluff, we came to this lone tree on the highway. I had to photograph with the approaching severe warned storm! One of favorites from the week #stormchasing  #clouds365  #nebraska
