This image is from one of my favorite nights photographing lightning ever last May in Albany, Texas. It is called Spider Lightning. The flashes were occurring every few seconds from a anvil over our heads. I had never seen anything like it. This is a stacked image using 2 frames, thats it! #canon5dmark3#clouds365#lightningphotography#texas#photoextractplus
My wife woke me up and told me the sky was glowing and I needed to get it! Wow, was she right. Walked out and was overwhelmed my the vibrance and the color of the sky. Have not had a sunrise like this in North Texas in a while. Amazing!
Sunset at Badwater Basin in Death Valley National Park this evening was amazing! Drove from Las Vegas this afternoon with my buddies +James Brandon and +Mike Mezeul in time to catch this scene. Incredibly hot, even after sunset. It was 113˚ when I captured this. A dust storm (haboob) was moving towards us as well. What a night!
Another version of the out of this world sunset I captured in Krum, TX last month. The clouds above me were from the anvil of a storm 70 miles away. The colors just floored me! #sunset#clouds365#storm#photoextractplus
