Had a fun day chasing storms today in Texas with my friends Mike, Dylan and Patrick. Captured this in-between my favorite little town of Throckmorton and Albany TX. I had better structure shots, which I will post soon. I liked the cloud to ground lightning and the supercell just coming into frame. I watched this one go up over my house and turn into a supercell just past sunset. This is at the stage where it is loosing some steam, but still beautiful. Love the circular motion seen in the orphaned anvil above the tower. #clouds365

This is a panoramic view of what the storm looked liked as it was moving away. Austin, Daniel, Mandy and myself had a amazing view from outside Comanche, Texas. First storm chase of the Spring today! Even after all of the miles driven this week it seemed ok to drive 400 miles round trip to get this supercell. I could not wait to get out there. Intercepted outside of Lake Brownwood, Texas. Beautiful plates, rotation and contrast as the storm was dying down. Thanks to Austin King for taking the lead, was nice to catch up with you! #clouds365   #stormchasing   #supercell   #severeweather
